Privacy

botctokenmapper.com runs two free tools for Blood on the Clocktower: the Token Mapper and the Storyteller's Grimoire. There are no accounts and no sign-in. Your work stays in your own browser. The tool pages show ads from Google, which uses cookies. This page covers both.
What stays in your browser
The script you are working on, your print settings and any game in progress are saved in your browser's local storage, so they are still there when you come back. The Grimoire also keeps a copy of the character art for the game you are running, so it keeps working without a signal.
None of this is sent to us, and we cannot see it. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes it.
Ads and cookies
The Token Mapper and the Grimoire show ads served by Google AdSense. This page does not.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings. You can opt out of some other vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, Google asks for your consent before using cookies for ads. If you do not consent, you still see ads, but they are not personalised. You can change your choice at any time with the Privacy and cookie settings link at the bottom of the tool pages.
Google explains how it uses information from sites like this one in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Anonymous print counts
When you print from the Token Mapper, the page sends one anonymous record so we can see how the tool gets used. It holds:
- when you printed
- where the script came from: the built-in shelf, botcscripts.com, a script you imported, or a blank one, and whether you edited it
- the script's name and botcscripts.com number, but only for scripts from the shelf or botcscripts.com. The name of a script you imported yourself is never sent.
- counts from the sheet: how many characters, how many are homebrew, how many had to borrow or go without a token, and whether it is a Teensyville-sized game
- the print options you chose: which sheets, single or double-sided, ink saving, copies, and the page count
- the two-letter country code Cloudflare attaches to the request
It does not include your IP address, a cookie or any identifier, so no record can be tied back to you. The Grimoire sends no records like this.
Other sites the tools contact
- release.botc.app, the official Blood on the Clocktower app, for character art and fonts.
- botcscripts.com, when you browse or load a script from its library.
- Google, for the ads described above.
Like any website you visit, these sites receive your IP address and browser details with each request, along with the fact that it came from botctokenmapper.com. What they do with that is covered by their own privacy policies.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which handles every request, including your IP address, to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Your data and questions
Nothing we keep can be tied to you, so there is nothing personal for us to look up, export or delete. If you have a question about any of this, email blanqsupport@gmail.com.
